The Porbami Social Club, Kohima Women Wing observed KhuKhu festival at State Academy Hall, Kohima yesterday.
Addressing the colourful festival, Associate Professor of Kohima Science College, Jotsoma Shepolu Yhor urged upon the celebrants to uphold and promote the aged-old traditional values of social harmony, love and kindness. Khukhu festival is celebrated to seek God’s intervention to prevent the occurrence of natural calamities, and protection of agricultural crops. It also aims at extending love and kindness to the needy people.
