Inspector General of Assam Rifles celebrates 20th anniversary victory of Kargil War

Inspector General of Assam Rifles, IGAR, (North) yesterday celebrated the 20th anniversary of victory of Kargil War at the Memorial of Captain Neikezhakuo Kenguruse at Phezha, Nerhema village, near Kohima.

Speaking at the function Major General P C Nair, YSM, IGAR (North) said that Late Captain N Kenguruse and Sub Imliakung Ao are a source of motivation and inspiration to all ranks of the Armed forces and the youths. He expressed hope students will get inspired for what the soldiers have done for the country and exhorted the students to take inspiration from it. Nair also urged the parents to let the children join the army and work for the betterment of the country.

Another serving war hero, Sub Imliakung Ao, Mahavir Chakra off Second Batallion of NAGA Regiment was also present in the function. Family members of Captain Neikezhakuo Kenguruse along with ex-servicemen and school children paid homage at the memorial site.
