A consultative meeting of all the stake holders to deliberate on Central Adoption Resource Authority, CARA and customary adoption laws will be held on 20th of this month at Tourist Lodge Dimapur at 10 AM.
Informing this during a press conference in Dimapur, Nagaland NGOs Forum president Dr Y Hesheto Chishi said that CARA which functions as the nodal body for adoption of Indian children is not compatible with the customary adoption laws of the Naga tribes and largely contradicts them.
He said that representatives of all political parties, student bodies, women bodies, tribal hohos, mother associations, church, and Bar Council would be invited to deliberate on the issue.
